Service & Scheduling

How quickly can you schedule a repair appointment?

We offer same-day service for most requests when you call before noon. Next-day appointments are typically available for calls in the afternoon. Emergency service is available 24/7 for urgent issues like gas leaks or complete refrigeration failure.

Do you provide repair estimates before starting work?

Yes, always. After diagnosing the problem, we provide a detailed written estimate. You approve the estimate before any repair work begins. There are never any surprises — we believe in full transparency with our customers.

What is your service area?

We serve Brookline and all of Greater Boston, including Newton, Wellesley, Weston, Cambridge, Boston neighborhoods, and surrounding communities. Our technicians can reach most locations within 30 minutes during normal business hours.

What brands do you repair?

We specialize in premium appliance brands including Sub-Zero, Wolf, Viking, Thermador, Miele, Gaggenau, Bosch, and other luxury manufacturers. Our technicians receive brand-specific training and have access to genuine OEM parts.

Do you offer emergency or after-hours service?

Yes, we provide 24/7 emergency service for critical situations such as gas leaks, complete refrigeration failure threatening food safety, or other urgent issues. Emergency calls receive priority response.

Warranty

What warranty do you offer on repairs?

All our repairs include a 90-day warranty covering both parts and labor. If the same problem recurs within 90 days, we return at no charge. We use only genuine OEM parts which may carry additional manufacturer warranties.

Will your repair void my manufacturer warranty?

No. We use genuine OEM parts and follow manufacturer repair procedures. Your appliance warranty remains intact. In fact, some manufacturer warranties require service by qualified technicians using authentic parts.

Do you repair appliances still under manufacturer warranty?

We can service appliances under warranty. However, you may want to check with the manufacturer first, as warranty repairs are typically free through their authorized network. We are happy to help if you prefer our service or your warranty has expired.

Maintenance

How often should I clean my refrigerator condenser coils?

We recommend cleaning condenser coils every 6-12 months. Homes with pets may need more frequent cleaning as pet hair accumulates quickly. This simple maintenance prevents most cooling problems and extends compressor life.

Appliances

How long do Sub-Zero refrigerators last?

Sub-Zero refrigerators are built to last 20+ years with proper maintenance. The dual-compressor design and quality components contribute to exceptional longevity. Regular maintenance including coil cleaning and seal inspection helps achieve maximum lifespan.

Expert Advice

Should I repair or replace my old appliance?

Generally, repair is worthwhile if the cost is less than 50% of replacement value and the appliance is less than halfway through its expected lifespan. Premium appliances often justify repair due to their build quality and higher replacement costs.

How do I know if my appliance needs repair or just cleaning?

Start with basic maintenance: clean filters, coils, and check settings. If problems persist after proper cleaning and you have ruled out user error, professional diagnosis is warranted. Strange noises, error codes, and performance decline typically require service.

Troubleshooting

Why is my refrigerator running constantly?

Constant running usually indicates the refrigerator is struggling to maintain temperature. Common causes include dirty condenser coils, failing door seals, a faulty defrost system, or a refrigerant problem. Check coils and seals first as these are easy to address.

What does it mean when my oven shows an F error code?

F error codes on ovens indicate specific faults detected by the control system. The number following F identifies the issue. Common codes include F1 (temperature sensor), F2 (overheating), and F3 (open sensor circuit). Note the exact code for diagnosis.

Parts & Components

Can I use aftermarket parts for my repair?

We strongly recommend genuine OEM parts for premium appliances. Aftermarket parts may not meet the same specifications and can cause additional problems or void warranties. Quality parts cost more initially but provide better reliability.
