The workshop
One brand, one kind of appliance, one metro.
Sub-Zero Repair Brookline is an independent repair business. We work on Sub-Zero built-in refrigeration and nothing else — no laundry, no dishwashers, no cookers — because the sealed systems, the defrost circuits and the cabinet hardware on these units reward a technician who sees them every day rather than twice a season.
Where we stand
Five things that are true, and nothing that is not.
There is no licence number on this page, no count of jobs closed and no claim of manufacturer training, because none of those would be ours to print. What is here is checkable.
- Refrigeration only: built-in and integrated cooling, wine storage and ice.
- Diagnosis carried out in the kitchen, with the readings shown to you.
- Factory-approved parts fitted where the platform calls for them.
- One flat service call fee, credited in full against an approved repair.
- No forms and no email queue — the phone, or the booking page, and that is all.
Why the kitchen, and not the workshop
A built-in column is not a portable appliance. It is a fitted piece of the kitchen, panelled to match the cabinets, plumbed for ice and set into a run with a few millimetres to spare. Taking one away to a bench costs a day of your kitchen and risks a finished floor, and the great majority of faults on these platforms simply do not need it: the condenser, the control board, the fans, the defrost circuit and the door hardware are all reachable from the front.
So the diagnosis happens where the appliance lives. Compartment temperatures are read against the set points, the evaporators are inspected in both halves, the defrost cycle is watched through to termination, and the door seal is checked along its whole run rather than at the handle. Those readings are what turns "it is not cooling" into a part number.
What we will not do
We will not quote a repair over the phone before anyone has seen the unit, because the honest range is too wide to be useful and the narrow number would be a guess. We will not describe ourselves as approved, authorised or trained by any manufacturer, because that is a status a manufacturer grants and we have not been granted it. And we will not recommend a repair on a cabinet where the sensible answer is replacement — you will be told that plainly, and the diagnosis is yours either way.
Book it
Tell us what it is doing and we will tell you what it costs.
A flat $95 service call covers the visit and the diagnosis, and comes off the bill when you approve the repair. The line is answered 24/7; visits run 8:00 am – 8:00 pm, seven days.
- One number, quoted once

- Diagnosis you can see
- Temperatures, defrost behaviour and airflow are read in front of you.
- Independent
- An independent service business working on Sub-Zero refrigeration, with no manufacturer affiliation of any kind.
